About Tallow Farm.

Tallow Farm started with my daughter. Store-bought soap and creams never sat right with her skin, and nothing we bought worked. When I looked into buying tallow products, the ingredient lists were long and full of things I couldn't pronounce. It wasn't minimal, and it wasn't natural. I got tired of waiting around, so I decided to make something myself.

My wife did the research and tallow kept coming up, so that's where we started. My first batch was a soap, and it went terribly. It erupted in the container while it was setting. We tried again straight away, read a lot more about how soap is made, and the second batch worked. Our tallow soap was the first thing that felt right on her skin.

Along the way we found out people make creams from tallow too, so we tried making one ourselves. I worked on the formula until it soaked in without feeling greasy, and it worked well for us. She took to it straight away, and it's been in our house ever since. My son uses it too, and so does the rest of the family, mostly for dry hands and rough patches.

That's when I started thinking bigger. I wanted to build an online business so my wife and I could be home with the kids more, and this was something I believed in. I developed every formula, and my wife runs the day-to-day production. We've always lived on farms, which is where the name comes from.

Today we still render the grass-fed tallow ourselves and make every jar and bar by hand in New South Wales. Our cream has three ingredients: grass-fed tallow, shea butter and jojoba. No fragrance, no fillers.

We keep it simple on purpose. If an ingredient doesn't need to be there, it isn't.
